Flossmoor cancels village board meeting

It was an exciting evening Friday, May 29, when several St. Joseph School students were recognized at their graduation ceremony.

Special honors were presented to Jada Houston who received the Marian Catholic High School Award for achieving a Marian entrance test score in the top 98 percentile.  Mary Kate Lynch received the Father Joseph Burke Award established by St. Joseph’s long time pastor. The $500 award is designated for tuition expenses at Marian Catholic.

Natalie Kurowski and Erik White received the St. Joseph School Awards, and Kristen Harrell received the Catholic War Veterans Award for earning the highest grade point average (GPA) in the class.

President Barack Obama’s President’s Education Award, given in recognition of students who earn a 3.5 GPA or higher, was awarded to Lindsey Coleman, Nia Flynn, Jada Hall, Kristen Harrell, Jalen Harrison, Lauren Hatch, Jada Houston, Kendal Johnson, Chandler Kerr and Catherine Lopez.
