Homewood Police Association accepting scholarship applications through June 15

Almost 70 student-athletes from Homewood-Flossmoor High School filled Idlewild Country Club on Thursday for the school’s 37th Annual Senior Athletic Banquet. The night included a dinner for the athletes and their parents. Multiple awards and scholarships were presented throughout the night.

Athletic Director Dan Vosnos called the banquet a celebration of all the hard work and

dedication the senior athletes had put in during their four years at H-F. Vosnos reminded them: “You will always be Vikings and we hope that you always return to your home.”

The biggest awards of the night were the Jan Nolting Female Athlete of the Year award presented to Amber Barney and the Cal Mall Male Athlete of the Year award presented to Jonathan Brandt.
