The Flossmoor Community Church Weekday Preschool program is collecting pajamas for children in need as part of the national One Million Good Nights project.
Through Friday, Dec. 9, the Homewood Public Library will be a collection site for new pairs of pajamas. Scholastic Book Clubs will give a new book to each child that receives a new pair of pajamas.
The mission of the drive is to provide children in group homes, shelters, foster care and orphanages with new pajamas and books. This is the eighth year for the project.
Guidelines for donations are: Pajamas must be brand new and manufactured as pajamas to insure that they are flame retardant and safe. Donations of all sizes from newborn to adult are needed. Pajamas must be complete sets or nightgowns.
