H-F High School principal's contract terminated

  Ryan Pitcock

Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233 officials announced Wednesday, June 22, that the Board of Education voted Tuesday to buy out the remaining year of Principal Ryan Pitcock's contract.

In a letter to parents and the community, district officials stated, "While neither the Board nor Administration is able to legally release specific information about this personnel decision, the Board members believe they acted in the best interest of the students, parents/guardians, staff and the Homewood-Flossmoor community by taking action at this time.

"We thank Dr. Pitcock for his service to the district and wish him well in his future endeavors."

Superintendent Von Mansfield and the board will begin a search for a new principal. District spokeswoman Jodi Bryant said the principal's duties would be fulfilled by the superintendent's office and other administrators during the search for Pitcock's replacement.
