Items stolen during two early morning Flossmoor home burglaries

Two homes in Flossmoor were burglarized on separate occasions in the past week, the village’s police department reported Tuesday.

Property was reported missing following both incidents, according to a Flossmoor Police Department email alert.

The thefts occurred during the early morning hours of Nov.10 and Nov.15 in the 1300 block of Braeburn Avenue and in the 2800 block of Bob-O-Link Road.

Residents at both addresses awoke in the morning to find property missing from the kitchen and living room areas. Missing items include a laptop computer, wallet and purse.

In both cases, residents reported the doors to their homes were unlocked, police said. Residents were not confronted by any suspects during the incidents.

Flossmoor investigators are working on information that has been developed in an attempt to identify any suspects, the email says.

In addition, officers will be conducting increased overnight residential patrols.

Police ask that residents lock their doors and keep outside lighting on.

“Please notify the Flossmoor Police Department if you observe any suspicious activity,” the email states. “Also, we ask residents be vigilant of your neighbor’s property as well.”

Anyone who may have observed suspicious vehicles or individuals in the area during this time is asked to contact Flossmoor’s Investigations Division at 708-957-4500.
