Identity released of driver whose vehicle went into Dolphin Lake on Friday

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has released the identity of the driver who died Friday, March 31, after his car went into Dolphin Lake in Homewood.

Larry Bowen, 53, of Homewood, was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m. Friday, according to the medical examiner’s office. The cause and manner of death are pending further studies.

Bowen was pulled from his vehicle by first responders after the vehicle plunged into Dolphin Lake. Homewood police said the incident was reported shortly after 9 a.m.
