Haircuts May 1 and 2 will help domestic violence victims

Ready for a haircut?  Here’s a buy one-give one offer.

The “Share a Haircut” program is set for May 1 and 2 at any Hair Cuttery location. With every haircut purchased, Hair Cuttery will donate a free haircut to a survivor of domestic violence through its partnership with the National Network to End Domestic Violence.

There is a Hair Cuttery shop at 17715 S Halsted St. in Homewood.

Locally, this will benefit those served by South Suburban Family Shelter (SSFS) based in Homewood. SSFS is assisting individuals and families from Chicago’s southern border to as far south as Will County. Services include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy, medical advocacy, prevention programs and partner abuse intervention programs.

For more information about SSFS, visit www.ssfs1.org  or call 708-794-2140.
