Marian Lazan reaches the young generation

Addison Trotter, 9, of Homewood, gets a hug from
Holocaust survivor Marion Blumenthal Lazan during
the question and answer session following Kazan's
presentation about her experiences in a Nazi
concentration camp. Kazan's visit in Homewood
was sponsored by District 153 and community
contributors and was held at James Hart School
on Tuesday evening. (Photos by Eric Crump/H-F

During her talk, Marion Blumenthal Lazan urged
today's young people to keep her story alive.
Addison Trotter of Homewood was moved to
approach Kazan to tell her, "You are brave. You
  are strong."

About Us

A great community deserves a great newspaper. The HF Chronicle was created in June 2014 as an online publication. In December 2015 we began monthly print publication, too. Our mission is to chronicle the life of our community — news by, for, and about the people of Homewood and Flossmoor, Illinois.

Do you have something to say? If you want to inform the community about events, issues, recognitions, concerns, etc., write a letter.
