Veterans Resources Fair Scheduled for March 9 at Prairie State College

Prairie State College (PSC) is hosting a Veterans Resources Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, March 9, in the Prairie Center on the college’s main campus, 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights. Admission to the event is free.

Attendees will be able to talk with representatives from various organizations that provide services to veterans, including benefits counseling and legal assistance. Information about employment and volunteer opportunities and other community resources also will be available.

Veterans receive one-on-one advising throughout the PSC admissions process and continued support throughout their academic career at PSC, said Georges Sanon, PSC Student Veterans Center coordinator. Veterans are eligible for early registration.

Services extend to all service members regardless of when they served or whether their service was active military, reserve or National Guard. For more information on services for student veterans at PSC, visit prairiestate.edu/veterans.

About Us

A great community deserves a great newspaper. The HF Chronicle was created in June 2014 as the Homewood Chronicle (but we soon realized Homewood and Flossmoor are so interconnected that it makes better sense to cover both villages). Our mission is to chronicle the life of our community — news by, for, and about the people of Homewood and Flossmoor, Illinois.
