Interfaith discussion set for March 19 at St. Andrew Church

“You Believe in ANGELS? – Christian, Muslim and Jewish Perspectives” is the topic for a Sunday, March 19, program at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 18850 Riegel Road in Homewood.

Guest presenters will be Pastor Caleb Hong of Faith United Methodist Church of Orland Park; Sheikh Amir Toft, imam and Islamic scholar at the University of Chicago; and Rabbi Michael Stevens, rabbi emeritus of Temple Beth-El in Munster, Ind.
 
Registration for this free program opens at 2:30 p.m. with the discussion from 3 to 6 p.m. 
 
This program is presented by the SouthWest Interfaith Team (SWIFT), a non-profit organization of synagogues, churches and mosques centered around, but not restricted to, the south and southwest suburbs of Chicago working together for respect, understanding and religious harmony.
 
Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items for Respond Now.
