GSU students performing Shakespeare in Manilow Sculpture Park for arts program benefit

On April 7, the Theatre and Performance Studies program at Governors State University is presenting a selection from Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” performed in the GSU Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park, 1 University Parkway, University Park.

The performance begins at 6 p.m. when the sculpture park will be transformed into a remote island for Shakespeare’s tale of magic, deception, revenge and romance.

Afterward, guests are invited to a post-show reception from 7:30 to 10 p.m. hosted by GSU President Elaine Maimon featuring small bites, dessert and wine.

There is a $75 charge for this program, with proceeds benefitting the arts programs at GSU. For additional information, or to make a reservation, contact Gina Ragland at [email protected].
