Early voting opens throughout Cook County

Early voting began Monday, March 20, in Cook County. The early voting period will end April 3, the day before the consolidated election, according to the Cook County Clerk’s website. 

South suburban early voting sites in the Homewood-Flossmoor area include: 
 

  • Matteson Community Center, 20642 Matteson Ave., Matteson. 
    Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 
  • Brookdale Senior Living, 3633 Breakers Drive, Olympia Fields. 
    Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 
  • Park Forest Village Hall, 350 Victory Blvd., Park Forest. 
    Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 
  • Tinley Park Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. 
    Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 
  • Thornton Township Hall, 333 E. 162nd St., South Holland.
    Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 
  • Lansing Public Library, 2750 Indiana Ave., Lansing. 
    Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 
  • Lynwood Senior Youth Center, 21490 Lincoln Highway, Lynwood. 
    Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 
County election officials note that voters do not need to provide an excuse or reason why they cannot vote on Election Day. 

Government-issued photo ID is not required but is helpful if there is a question about the voter’s registration, address or signature.  Providing an ID can also speed up the process because there are ID card readers at every check-in station. 

Voters can register to vote at all early vote sites. Any voter who needs to register for the first time or file an address change must present two forms of ID, one of which shows the voter’s current address.
