Two Homewood businesses participate in Round It Up program to fund lymphoma research

Area residents have until March 26 to help two local businesses raise money for lymphoma research.

The program, called “Round It Up,” gives customers of Family Video and Marco’s Pizza, both at 2010 183rd St. in Homewood, a chance to round up their purchase amount to the nearest dollar, donating that extra change to the fundraiser.

All donations will be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Since 2012, when the Round It Up campaign was first created, 14 new lymphoma treatment drugs and 63 research grants have been approved, thanks to the $6 million that was raised from customers choosing to round up their total amount to the next dollar at check out.

The program is sponsored by Highland Ventures Limited, owner of the Family Video and Marco’s Pizza brands.
