‘Sister Act’ to be staged at H-F High Nov. 10 and 11

The Homewood-Flossmoor High School theatre program will present the musical comedy “Sister Act” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10 and 11, in the Mall Auditorium.

“Sister Act” is based on the 1992 hit movie by the same name. It features original music by Alan Menken including gospel music and toe-tapping tunes for its dance routines. The show was nominated for five Tony Awards, including best musical.

Produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International, the H-F production will be directed by J.R. Rose, H-F Fine Arts and English teacher, who will be assisted by students Sierra Carpenter, Leah Joyner, Charlotte McManus, Jannah Nance and Makalyn Powell. 

“Sister Act” is recommended for audiences 12 and older. Tickets, available at the door, are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens.
