Marian Catholic High School to host open house, education financing event

Marian Catholic High School will host an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19.

The event is geared toward prospective seventh and eighth grade students and parents that are considering sending their children to Marian.

The school, at 700 Ashland Ave. in Chicago Heights, is a Catholic coeducational college preparatory high school within the Dominican tradition of study, prayer, community and preaching.

The event will feature tours, displays and informational literature to familiarize families with the education that Marian offers, according to school officials.

Following the open house, the school will host a tuition assistance information night on Monday, Nov. 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the school’s Leadership Center.

Families interested in learning more about how to finance private education for their children, including the State of Illinois’s new Invest in Kids Act scholarships, are encouraged to attend.

The school’s entrance exam will be administered on Dec. 2.
