Park district Halloween parties Tuesday

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is hosting Halloween parties for kids 13 and under on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

The program from 5:30 to 6 p.m. is specially designed as “quiet time” for children with disabilities and their families, including those on the autism spectrum or children with sensory processing disorder. Children will be able to enjoy the Halloween event without the distractions of loud noises, flashing lights and crowded areas.

From 6 to 8 p.m., the park district hosts a Halloween party with a DJ playing Halloween themed games with the audience, such as Mummy Wrap, the Limbo, Freeze Dance and a hula hoop contest.  Games will be available and the costume parade starts at 7:30 p.m.

Both events are at the H-F Sports Complex at 18211 Aberdeen Ave. in Homewood. For more information, contact the park district at 708-957-0300.

These events are sponsored by Rotary Club of Homewood.
