The Drama Group presents ‘Wait Until Dark’

The Drama Group is presenting “Wait Until Dark,” a thriller that is filled with suspense as two con men find themselves up against a blind woman.

The show, featuring Geoffrey Purvis of Homewood, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 22 and 23 and again Sept. 29 and 30, and at 2 p.m. on Sundays, Sept. 24 and Oct. 1. The production is staged at the Milord Studio Theatre, 330 W. 202nd St., Chicago Heights.

The story focuses on a sinister con man who coerces two ex-convicts into helping him trick Susy, a blind housewife who unwittingly possesses a doll filled with illicit drugs. But Susy and a young girl upstairs launch a counterplot against the thieves. The drama plays on the themes of darkness and light as Susy navigates through her sightless world matching wits against evil.

Serving on the show’s production staff are Bob Sullivan and Greg Garcia of Homewood, with Russ Hoganson of Homewood doing scenic design.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $19 for seniors and $15 for students with ID. Group discounts are available. Tickets can be purchased through the Drama Group box office at 708-755-2444 or online at http://www.brownpapertickets,com/event/3063992.

About Us

A great community deserves a great newspaper. The HF Chronicle was created in June 2014 as the Homewood Chronicle (but we soon realized Homewood and Flossmoor are so interconnected that it makes better sense to cover both villages). Our mission is to chronicle the life of our community — news by, for, and about the people of Homewood and Flossmoor, Illinois.
