Hart School National Junior Honor Society inducts 38 students

The National Junior Honor Society at James Hart School inducted 38 students into its ranks during a ceremony Monday, April 11.
 
Students are eligible for membership based on six standards: leadership, citizenship, character, service, behavior and scholarship. Students also must have completed at least five hours of community service. Students were inducted during a candle lighting ceremony.
 
New members are eighth graders Octavia Abbott, Makaela Miller and Aidan Vazquez.
 
New seventh grade members are David Anderson, Anna Arrivo, Jason Ballard, Dylan Barnas, Jack Barry, Asia Bing, Phoebe Bosch, Adrian Chavez, Miranda Douglas, Ashley Esparza, Anthony Fanelli.
 
Alessia Faso, Kiera Flanigan, Tori Frangella, Citlally Gabriel, Dyllan Hanna, Dillon Head, Peyton Henry, Emilia Hilgen, Georgia Holt, Emma Humes, Makiya Knazze, Graham MacLeod.
 
Kailyn Marsh, Truman Moss, Korey Mulling, Berlinda Nwachukwu, Lola Pohrte, Mason Richert, Alexandria Rickabaugh, Adrianna Stansbury, Grace Suchor, Imoni Taylor, Lily Temple and Saniyah Thomas.
 
Officers of the Hart chapter of NJHS are Wynton Wright, president; Ella Mott, vice president; Jeanette Kouassi, treasurer; Aaron Latman, secretary/historian.

In December 2015 we began monthly print publication, too. Our mission is to chronicle the life of our community — news by, for, and about the people of Homewood and Flossmoor, Illinois.
