Festive pub crawl Thursday to benefit Homewood Arts Council

Homewood Arts Council's first fundraiser, the 0.3K run/walk/stroll in September brought out considerable costuming creativity in participants.

The organization is providing another opportunity from 6:30 p.m. until at least 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, with Ho Ho Homewood Festivus-for-the-Rest-of-Us Pub Crawl, a chance for people to channel their inner elf, dust off the old reindeer costume or play the Grinch.

Costumes are optional for the event, but good cheer and a $40 contribution to the arts council are expected.

Ticket holders will get an official HAC plastic tumbler plus one free drink at the stops along the way, Copper Still, Fifth Quarter, Grape & Grain and Tin Ceiling. Participants will also get pizza at Fifth Quarter.

Registrants will meet at Bottle and Bottega Homewood, 2009 Ridge Road, between 6 and 6:30 p.m. for sign-in and to receive drink tickets.

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Registration is limited to the first 100 signups.
