The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings lost another close game Friday, falling to Simeon 57-54. The Vikings have a record of 5-3 but all three of those losses have been within a deficit of five points.
H-F started off hot in the first quarter with a 9-1 run thanks to Oscar Parrish III, who scored all nine of those points.

The 3-6 Wolverines drew closer and ended the first half down six points 26-32. During the third quarter, Simeon inched its way back and brought the deficit to two points with the score of 43-45.
H-F forward Maurion Scott was sidelined for a majority of the second half after picking up his fourth foul early in the third quarter.
Teammates Damen Trice Jr. and R.J. Ogom both fouled out of the game during the last few minutes of the fourth quarter.
Simeon freshman AJ Casey hit two clutch free throws to give the Wolverines a three-point cushion.
The Vikings had an opportunity to potentially send the game to overtime after Simeon’s Jaylen Granger missed two free throws, but failed to convert the three as the time expired.

H-F will be participating in the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic starting Dec. 26, which includes 16 total teams.
