No one injured in fire early Sunday

Homewood firefighters responded to a residential fire in the 1700 block of 187th Street in Homewood early Sunday. 
 
Assistant Fire Chief Steve DeJong said the call came in about 6 a.m.
 
The residents were home at the time of the blaze but were able to evacuate without injury, he said.

The fire was contained to the garage. The cause remains under investigation.
