Cancer Support Center expands Mokena site

The Cancer Support Center invites the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, for the new location of its Mokena center at 19645 LaGrange Road.

Those wishing to attend are asked to register with staff by calling 708-478-3529.

This new space triples the size of the center and will allow the Cancer Support Center to provide a greater number of programs and services. Additional details are at cancersupportcenter.org.

The Cancer Support Center was founded in Homewood and maintains its 2028 Elm Road facility.

The center gives strength, guidance and support to anyone living with a cancer diagnosis, as well as to their loved ones. The center is a community-based, volunteer-driven, donor-supported organization. The programs, resources and services are delivered free of charge by professional therapists, counselors, nutritional educators and experts.
