Sons of Serendip perform Stevie Wonder tribute Saturday at GSU

The Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University will have you singing in your seats when its presents Sons of Serendip performing “50 Years of Wonder: A Tribute to Stevie Wonder” at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13.
 
Fans of “America’s Got Talent” will recognize the Sons of Serendip quartet from its performance on the show. This GSU program will showcase their soulful voices and talented instrumentals of the chart-topping Stevie Wonder catalog of music. With the accompaniment of the harp, piano, and cello, guests will enjoy popular hits like “Isn’t She Lovely,” “Signed Sealed Delivered” and “If It’s Magic.”
 
Tickets are $28 to $36 dollars for the performance. 
 
This program comes with a 6 p.m. pre-show dinner reception in honor of the center’s 22 years of service. Guests will enjoy comfort food, including crab cake and peppercorn grilled chicken sliders, mashed potato bar, macaroni and cheese and dessert. There will be a cash bar. A portion of the $22 ticket for the dinner will benefit the center’s arts and education programs.
