Starry Nights series opens Thursday

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District opens the 2018 Starry Nights series with a 7:30 p.m. presentation by the band “1976.”
 
The band’s free concert at the Irwin Park Bandshell, Ridge Road at Highland Avenue, will feature the hits from the 1970s, including songs made famous by Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, the Steve Miller Band, The Eagles and more.
 
The other concerts in the series will feature “CTA Chicago Tribute Anthology” on July 3, and “SWAY Chicago” on July 19.
