Vice District seeks second incentive extension

Vice District Brewing is requesting that Homewood officials approve a second extension for a business incentive funding agreement.

The village board will consider the request at its regular meeting Tuesday, June 26.

The craft brewery was approved in September 2016 for $100,000 in financial assistance to develop a brewery and taproom at 18027-18029 Dixie Highway, but the project has been delayed by several unforeseen circumstances.

In other business, the board will consider:
  • Awarding a $42,000 contract for audible crosswalk alerts for three intersections on 183rd Street.
  • Replacing 26 automatic external defibrillators for $61,836 plus financing costs.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in village hall at 2020 Chestnut Road.
