Nonviolence training sessions July 10 and 18

St. Joseph Parish in Homewood will be the site for a NonviolenceWorks program on violence prevention and nonviolence techniques.

Sessions are from 7 to 9 p.m. July 10 and 18 at the parish’s Burke Center just south of the church at 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood.

The speaker will be Phillip Bradley, president of NonviolenceWorks. He is a community organizer and violence prevention specialist who has worked in schools, with community groups, at churches and within the juvenile justice system the past 30 years.

Most recently Bradley has been giving nonviolence workshops for vicariates within the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Participants are asked to give a free will offering to defray the cost of materials and supplies.  For information, contact NonviolenceWorks at 312-723-7741 or visit [email protected].
