GSU offers Vacation Education summer courses

Governors State University is helping college students get additional credits this summer through a program it’s calling Vacation Education.

The program focuses on general education and degree requirement classes standard to most bachelor’s degree programs.

Students returning home for summer break from other colleges and universities can take a general education course at GSU, transfer the credits to their home university and have it apply toward their degree requirements.

“Taking classes at GSU during the summer is a cost effective way to get a jump on your degree requirements or investigate a subject of interest,” said GSU Director of Admissions Paul McGuinness.

Additionally, this summer Pell Grant eligible students may be able to apply their financial aid to their summer school expenses.

The full schedule of Vacation Education classes is available at www.govst.edu/vacationeducation. For more information, call 708-534-4490.
