Best Buy, three other Homewood businesses burglarized

Four businesses in Homewood were burglarized in the late night and early morning hours of Nov. 26 and 27, according to Homewood Police Department. 
 
The incidents may be connected. They occured in the span of about two-and-a-half hours, with the last three occurring within 10 minutes of each other. 

In each incident, someone shattered a glass door or window to gain entry into the business and remove unspecified items.

 
According to Homewood police, at about 11:36 p.m. on Nov. 26, someone shattered a window and entered Best Buy at 17800 Halsted St.
 
At about 1:50 a.m. on Nov. 27, someone shattered a glass door and entered Big Lots at 3055 W. 183rd St..
 
At about 1:59 a.m. on Nov. 27, someone shattered a glass door and entered Lorenz Appliances at 18320 Governors Highway.
 
At about 2 a.m. on Nov. 27, someone shattered a glass door and entered Edible Arrangements at 18312 Governors Highway, entered and removed unspecified items.
 
Earlier in the evening of Nov. 26, a woman was robbed at 17550 Halsted St., according to Homewood police. She was not injured, but her belongings were stolen.
 
At about 7:38 p.m. as the victim was about to enter her vehicle, a black male approximately 20 years old grabbed the victim’s purse and fled the area in a dark four-door sedan.
