Jacob Schroeder of Homewood-Flossmoor High School and Angelo Cantelo, Pierce Jones and Cameron Bufford of Marian Catholic High School were part of the White Sox ACE Program that offered special training to improve their baseball abilities.

They were among 20 area players to join the program this year.
The Sox Amateur City Elite (ACE) Program gives talented young players the opportunity to play baseball in highly competitive groups on a traveling team. ACE also has an elite practice and competition schedule, and the students receive academic direction to prepare them for success both on and off the field.
Schroeder and Jones signed letters of commitment to Northern Illinois University, Cantelo will play for Lewis University and Bufford will play for Grambling State University.
