Homewood-Flossmoor High School has two more trophies thanks to the outstanding work of two cheerleading squads. After qualifying for the meet in December, the two H-F cheerleading teams were among more than 80 teams given five minutes to perform routines at the 35th Annual Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association championships Jan. 5 and 6 in Springfield.

The freshmen cheerleaders won second place in the freshmen division. The cheerleading team is coached by Briana Johnson and Sabrina Johnson.
The junior varsity co-ed cheerleaders brought home a fourth place trophy for their performance in the medium JV division. The team is coached by Alia Childress.
