Hear from candidates for Flossmoor trustee, HFHS board

The Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters has announced it will host two candidate forums featuring those running for positions on the Flossmoor Village Board and Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233.

 

The Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters has announced it will host two candidate forums featuring those running for positions on the Flossmoor Village Board and Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233.
 
Residents can hear from individuals running for Flossmoor trustee positions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, at Flossmoor Village Hall, 2800 Flossmoor Road.
 
Candidates on the ballot are Perry Hoag, James Mitros and Gyata Kimmons. Two write-in candidates are Davie Bruni and Michelle Svetic Nelson.  Three seats on the board are open.
 
The District 233 candidate forum will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, in the H-F High South Building cafeteria, 999 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor.
 
There are 10 candidates in the District 233 race. Four seats are open. Incumbents Jody Scariano, Debbie Berman and Gerald Pauling are on the ballot, along with Nathan Legardy, P. Andrew Lindstrom, Jonathan Cook, Pamela Jackson, Merle Kimbrough-Huckabee, Paris Walker and Jimo (JK) Kasali.
