Donations for the troops collected through July 4

As the 4th of July approaches, Weichert Realtors in Homewood is collecting items that can go into care packs for those serving in the U.S. military.

Items can be dropped off during regular business hours between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The last day for the drop-off is Thursday, July 4. A drop box is available at the front entrance of the business at 1820 Ridge Road.  
 
The list of items includes: baby wipes, hand sanitizer, chap stick, water bottles, granola bars, beef jerky, protein bars, raisins or other individually wrapped snacks.
 
Also, Band-aids, alcohol wipes, feminine products, deodorant, mints, toothbrushes, mouthwash, dental floss, tissues, body wash, lotions, Q-tips, shampoo and conditioner.
 
And, magazines, sunscreen, AA and AAA batteries, laundry PODS packed in a sturdy plastic or metal container and $25 VISA or Mastercard gift cards.
