“The CATA board has always been very helpful,” said Phillipos. “They make the time to answer legal questions, offer advice and provide counsel whenever I needed answers. They truly are the eyes and ears for our industry. I will serve with pride and dignity for our industry. I was truly honored when elected.”

Phillipos, who attended Loyola University Chicago, began working exclusively in the auto industry in 1981. He became owner of Chevrolet of Homewood in 2002. Prior to that, Phillipos was a partner at Steve Peters Chevrolet and worked as a general manager for AutoNation.

Phillipos is an active fundraiser for charitable organizations. He supports the Glenwood Academy, created HomewoodChevyCares.com, hosts annual food drives, coat drives and school supplies programs.

In addition, Homewood Chevrolet presents a monthly “social media for a good cause” award and annually gives away a car to a family in need.
