'Think Homewood' 2019 to be unveiled Tuesday

Homewood Marketing Director Jennifer Quirke will introduce this year's marketing campaign at the Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday.

Last year's "Think Homewood" campaign, which employed comic-style messages about the village's desireability, attracted nationwide media attention.

In other business, the board will consider a resolution authorizing this year's street resurfacing plan. There will be a separate resolution for a resurfacing project on 175th Street east of Ashland Avenue.

In other business, the board will consider
  • A budget amendment and bid waiver for an emergency storm sewer repair on Ashland Avenue.
  • A resolution in support of a state transportation capital bill that could help Metra upgrade its equipment and infrastructure.
  • The annual report of the village Economic Development Committee.
  • A resolution adopting the 2019 village zoning map.
The Board of Trustees meets at 7:30 p.m. in village hall, 2020 Chestnut Road.
