Diversity Dinners set for April 13

The 22nd annual Diversity Dinners event will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Rich South High School.

At this year’s buffet dinner, Troy Cicero of MulticultuReal Communications will facilitate discussions with the theme, “Let’s Continue the Conversation.”

With Cicero’s guidance, the evening will invoke meaningful, informed and inspiring conversations among community members. This experience can open doors to enhanced appreciation for the unique mosaic of people who live in the South Suburbs.

Diversity Dinners, funded by contributions from individuals, businesses and local organizations, is an occasional opportunity to bring individuals of diverse backgrounds together to promote understanding, increase positive interactions within the community and build respect for our differences.

The event this year is coordinated by the villages of Park Forest, Homewood, Richton Park, Matteson and Olympia Fields; Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233; Rich Township High School District 227; League of Women Voters of Homewood-Flossmoor Area; League of Women Voters of Park Forest Area; and the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI).

The cost of the dinners is $15. All guests must be at least 14 years old.
