H-F hosts Transition Resource Fair for students, young adults with disabilities

Homewood-Flossmoor High School invites all area students and young adults with disabilities and their families to its inaugural Transition Resource Fair, on Tuesday, April 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gym in the South Building, 999 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor. 
 
The fair is designed to provide information and resources on education, employment, independent living, recreation, transportation, guardianship, plus government benefits and programs for young adults with disabilities. 
 
“We wanted to ensure that families in the South Suburbs are aware of what they have access to, in terms of services for their young adults with disabilities who are transitioning out of high school,” said Angela Taylor, H-F’s director of Special Education.
