Flossmoor Station to host event to support local woman competing on ‘The Voice’

For the second week in a row, Flossmoor Station Restaurant and Brewery, 1035 Sterling Ave. in Flossmoor, is hosting a watch party from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 6, to cheer on  Flossmoor’s own Oliv Blu as she competes on NBC’s “The Voice.”

“We’re so excited to support a Flossmoor musician on such a national scale,” said Flossmoor Station Owner Carolyn Armstrong. “As a member of the Flossmoor community, you can’t help but be proud of what she has already accomplished.”

Homewood-Flossmoor High School alumna Blu is one of 13 contestants left after her coach, Blake Shelton, saved her in last week’s elimination episode. She’ll now compete Monday and again on Tuesday, May 7.

“Offering a place for everyone to cheer her on together is the least we could do, and hopefully it leads to more votes for her,” added Armstrong.
