Gyata Kimmons is the only new face on the board, while longtime trustees James Mitros and Perry Hoag were both elected to their seventh four-year terms. Kimmons was the top vote-getter in the April 2 election.
All will serve four-year terms.
One board seat remains empty for now as Mayor Paul Braun begins reviewing applications from 13 candidates interested in filling former trustee Phil Minga’s vacancy. Minga resigned in February after 22 years on the board.

Braun said he is looking to make a decision on whom to recommend to the board within the next month or two. The appointee will serve a two-year term until the 2021 election.
Perry Hoag is sworn in for a new term on the Flossmoor Board of Trustees.
Ben Braun, a Will County judge and the mayor’s brother, shared some village history Monday night before leading each trustee-elect in swearing an oath to serve Flossmoor.
He said that after Flossmoor was incorporated in 1924, the first trustees passed an act that had possibly the greatest influence of any in the 95 years since — a ban on industry.
“I hope (current trustees) don’t have to face anything as profound as that, but I hope that they do as well for the village over their terms as their initial trustees did,” Ben Braun said.
“In fact, not only are the people who voted for you counting on it, but those that didn’t vote for you are counting on it as well.”
Mayor Braun read a resolution recognizing Wilder for his 10 years of service on the board.
Wilder chose not to run for re-election this April. He was first appointed to a two-year term in 2009 to fill the vacant seat left when Braun was elected mayor.
Wilder said his goal in that time was to collaborate with staff, the mayor and trustees to make informed decisions that would improve the quality of life for Flossmoor residents.
He also congratulated Kimmons and offered his best wishes to the newly elected board.
“I’m comforted that this board will continue to do an outstanding job in being an effective and productive team for the village of Flossmoor,” Wilder said.
