Homewood and area firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the 3200 block of 184th Street after 8 a.m. Sunday, May 26.
 
The fire was contained to one apartment of the eight-unit building, according to Fire Chief Bob Grabowski. 
 
He said a resident was home when the fire broke out but was able to escape uninjured.
