Two Flossmoor actors in Drama Group’s ‘Fun House’ production

Scott Sowinski and PJ Janicki of Flossmoor will star in “Fun House,” winner of five Tony Awards in the Best Broadway Musical category, when it is performed at the Drama Group Oct. 4, 5, 6 and Oct. 10, 11, 12 and 13.
 
The musical opens the Drama Group’s 89th season with lots of attention to the world of Allison in three different stages as she grows up. The plot centers around her memories of a uniquely dysfunctional family that connect with her in surprising new ways.
 
Russ Hoganson of Homewood is set designer for the show performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4 and 5, and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10, 11 and 12. Matinee shows are at 2 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 6 and 13 at the Drama Group’s Milord Theatre, 330 W. 202nd Street in Chicago Heights.
 
Tickets are $23 for adults, $21 for senior citizens and $17 for students with ID. Group discount rates are available. For ticket information contact the Drama Group box office at 708-755-3444.
 
To open the season, the Drama Group is helping to raise awareness of the issues around LGBTQ youth and their families by partnering with LGBTQ Lighthouse of Flossmoor, a safe space for LGBTQ youth and young adults and a place to share information on the LTBTQ community.
