Homewood trustees to formally approve capital bond issue

Homewood trustees are expected to vote on a nearly $1.8 million bond issue at the regular board meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

If approved, the money would be used to fund a range of capital expenses and improvements. The board held a public hearing on the plan at its July 28 meeting.

In other business, the board will consider:

  • An agreement with the union representing Public Works Department employees. 
  • A resolution authorizing the sale of surplus real estate, a parcel at 18462 Dixie Highway.
  • Reappointment of Ellen Dreyfus to the Ethics Commission and Tony Greep to the Tree Committee. 

The board also plans to convene in closed session to discuss pending litigation.

Members of the public may comment on agenda items or other subjects related to village business by email to [email protected] or by placing written comments in the drop box outside village hall, 2020 Chestnut Road. Comments received by 4 p.m. on Tuesday will be read into the record of the meeting.
