KITE SHOWCASE. H-F Park District will host a kite event at Apollo Park in Homewood Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kite kits will be on sale if for anyone who wants to make and fly their own. Masks are required when you can not socially distance yourself from other families. The event is wind and weather-dependent.
VIRTUAL ART GALLERY SHOW – Homewood Arts Council unveiled its third virtual gallery exhibition. The show runs online from April 8 through June 3 and features 10 artists from the Chicagoland areaMost works are available for purchase and can be viewed at www.homewoodartscouncil.com/virtual-gallery
BARRELS OF HOPE ARE BACK – The Flossmoor Art Commission is accepting applications for its Barrels of Hope project. Artists selected to participate will be notified at the end of April. From the village: “The Barrels of Hope project engages local art enthusiasts to paint whiskey barrels, donated by Flossmoor Station, with messages of hope and inspiration.
