The high rate of COVID-19 infections for the Homewood-Flossmoor area will keep students from returning to Homewood schools.
Administrators notified parents on Wednesday that COVID statistics are too high to justify a return to Willow, Churchill and James Hart Schools on Jan. 21. Classes will continue remotely.
The district’s next assessment will be on Jan. 19. If the metrics improve by then, schools will reopen on Feb. 1.
District 153 has created a COVID dashboard for its website that has numbers for the H-F area, as well as suburban numbers.
