READ-WALK TO BOOKIE’S – Strap on your reading shoes and head to downtown Homewood for the Book Walk. Read “Feathers For Lunch” along the newly decorated windows, then pick up a free copy of the book at Bookie’s while supplies last.

BUNDLE IT UP – You can help local nonprofit organizations by filling a bag with supplies they need. Through Flossmoor’s MLK Jr. Day of Service, volunteers can create DIY Bundles in five categories of food, personal care and recreational items. See the village’s Facebook page for details.

ENTER A TEEN CENTER? – The youth nonprofit organization You Matter 2 is conducting a survey to collect opinions and information about the need for a community teen center. Survey closes Feb. 7. See the group’s website for details.
