LAST DITCH EFFORT – This is the last day to recycle your holiday tree and string lights with H-F Park District. Trees can be dropped at Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center, in the Vollmer Road parking lot. Lights can be deposited in bins outside the Irons Oaks building on Western Avenue, as well as H-F Racquet and Fitness Club and the Goldberg Center.
STILL TIME TO HELP – MLK Day might have passed, but don’t forget that Flossmoor’s MLK Day of Service continues through the end of January. Projects benefit numerous local organizations that assist those in need including students and young people, homeless individuals, victims of domestic violence and animals.
