Business: Back in the Game sets up shop in Homewood

Back In The Game Video Games and Electronics, held a grand opening celebration for its new Homewood store Saturday, Nov. 1. The event included a balloon-release ceremony presided over by Homewood Mayor Richard Hofeld, a mini-iPad raffle and free giveaways. "We're excited to bring the Back in The Game experience to Homewood," said Sonny Zegar, vice president of the new Back In The Game. "We think this is an excellent market for our continued growth and we're looking forward to seeing old friends and new faces that have not had the opportunity to enjoy the Back In The Game experience." Back In The Game offers a setting that includes wall-mounted, flat-panel HD LCD monitors, an extensive selection of consumer electronics, games, consoles and accessories ranging from classic to current generation. The store also offers services, including videogame disc, console and electronics repair. “This mix of in-store contests, tournaments and retail services creates a unique community environment and customer experience that can only be found at Back In The Game,” Zegar said. "As soon as gamers walk in the door, they know Back In The Game is where they want to be. Our store atmosphere is inviting to everyone from the casual gamer to the hard core enthusiast, as well as parents wanting recommendations on what games to buy their kids. The Homewood back In The Game is located at 17941 Halsted St. near the Shell Gas station at Halsted and Ridge Road.
