Village's staff to work from Ryan Funeral Home during Village Hall renovations this spring

Homewood purchased Ryan Funeral Home recently with the intention of using it as the site for a proposed community science center. While that project is still on the drawing board, the village will have a more immediate use for the structure: That's where several village offices will find a home during renovations this spring to Village Hall. 

State budget woes threaten local day care center funding

Staff at Stepping Stones Day Care in Homewood, with help from children, are urging area residents to speak to state government representatives about saving the Child Care Assistance Program, which has run out of state monies.

Reading specialist Alison Lincoln presented Morin Award

Alison Lincoln was presented the District 153 Morin Award for Excellence Monday, Feb. 9, for her outstanding efforts with students and colleagues.
