Athletes and volunteers are serving Friday dinner at the St. Joseph Athletic Association annual Fish Fry from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Fridays through March 18. Dinners are served at the school, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood.

The Alaskan pollock dinner is served with curly fries, coleslaw, dinner roll and dessert. Adult dinners are $9, kids are $6 and seniors, served 4:30-5:30 p.m., are $7.

An eight-piece shrimp dinner with coleslaw, roll and dessert is $9.

A spaghetti dinner with coleslaw, roll and dessert is $5. Mac ‘n Cheese serving is $5. An order of curly fries is $3.

Coffee and milk are included with dinner. There is a charge for soda, wine and beer.

Fish fry and its raffles are the major fundraisers for the St. Joseph Athletic Association supporting boys and girls basketball and volleyball teams and cheerleading squads competing throughout the school year, said Lisa Purcell, the 2016 chairperson.

She is especially grateful to Prairie State Athletics tennis, girls’ softball and men’s soccer teams who will join parish volunteers working the fish fry.
