Wildlife adventures

  (Chronicle file photo)

The South Suburbs might not be a jungle, but there is no lack of wild critters living among us. We see fox, coyotes, rabbits, squirrels, birds, opposum, skunks and other untamed animals on our streets, in our yards, in our parks and along our roadways.

The Chronicle's October print edition will feature stories about wildlife in our midst and how we can coexist with these furry or feathery neighbors.

We would love to include stories from H-F residents about encounters and adventures they've had with local wildlife. We hope you'll considering sharing your stories with the community!

Deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 13

About Us

A great community deserves a great newspaper. The HF Chronicle was created in June 2014 as an online publication. In December 2015 we began monthly print publication, too. Our mission is to chronicle the life of our community — news by, for, and about the people of Homewood and Flossmoor, Illinois.

Do you have something to say? If you want to inform the community about events, issues, recognitions, concerns, etc., write a letter.
