Community meetings on H-F expansion plans set for Nov. 6 and 9

Residents of Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233 are invited to hear administrators outline plans for expansion and remodeling at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor.
 
Speakers will address residents at three meetings. The first is set for 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, in Room E-1 in the South Building.  Two meetings are set for Thursday, Nov. 9, at 9 a.m. in the TLC Room in the South Building and at 7 p.m. in Room E-1 in the South Building.
 

Homewood officials: Residents get their money's worth

Homewood Finance Director Dennis Bubenik presented the proposed property tax levy of  $6,324,211 for 2017 to the board of trustees on Tuesday and he offered a chart that he said should give Homewood residents a clearer idea how their property tax dollars are spent.

H-F Park District recognized with national award

H-F High golf team takes first, Hoag advances to state tourney

H-F’s applied academics programs at their limits

Students and two business representatives came before the District 233 board of education to laud the Applied Academics Program at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, but board members learned program expansions aren’t likely because of lack of space.
 

Chamber Expo aims to bring residents, businesses together

Local residents and business professionals can get to know each other better at next Tuesday’s Homewood Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. The first-time event is taking place from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Clubhouse at Dolphin Lake, 2700 183rd St. in Homewood. It is free and open to the public. The event will also include a Business After Hours session between 5 and 7 p.m.
